Say Cheese

I am a crooked line
Hiding inside a face
My little pearly whites
All fighting for a space
The day I lost my babies
Mom took me to this place
And there an orthodontist
Fitted me with a brace

Jumped on the Poetry Bus
Prompt: "I am a crooked line"

Very clever and funny! And expensive now that I'm the parent paying for it!

My poor children have inherited my big teeth and my husbands little mouth. Going to pay for this x2 myself!

I love when a really good poem can also be cute. Very good work. My daughter also has big teeth (and too many of them) in her little mouth. Luckily I know when she's 5, so I have time to prepare [save] for braces.

Your poem made me smile and smile and smile! Actually the first thing that came to my mind when I read Bug's prompt was crooked teeth - mine to be precise. Had braces for three years in my 20s!!!

Hahahaha!!!

The comment that crooked lines straighten teeth is a riot!

You've done a juicy job here and as you can see, lots of us related! Mine when on in third grade.

Hehehe! I like the way you wrote this. It's definitely catchy. I remember those times when I was struggling to eat with my braces. Oh, my teenage years. =)

Haha. I love your writing style. :D " My little pearly whites|All fighting for a space" - This part made me smile. Anyway, almost all teenagers suffer from painful braces. Oh, the memories. O.o
