55 - girl on a string

cute little puppet
marionette plaything
cut chrysalis cords
for butterfly wings
can't tie her up or
tie her down, both
feet off the ground
she's a flight of
fantasy, an errant
kite that wrapped
me tight around her
finger like a mellow
 yellow lead balloon
bursting into a
 nothing fling
my girl on a string

Hey, that pic looks familiar! lol "cut chrysalis cords / for butterfly wings" What a cool sounding passage—half staccato/half smooth. Great 55

I missed OSS...so had to trim this one down a bit (ok a lot) to make it 55!

I used to be that kind of girl. Then my balloon went flat.

I like the ones you can't tie down! They are spunky. I've got a kid like that! :)

Fun reversal of how many would view of the situation. Made me smile, good piece.
