When Winter Weaves

When Winter Weaves

Through midnights still and darkest hour, upon a silent loom
A winter weaver softly spins, outside my living room

A crystal canvas tapestry, embossed on glassy face
As fragile frozen flowers bloom, from threads of liquid lace

The sunkissed silken strands reveal, upon an icy pane
Invisible embroidery, within a window frame

This poem's excellent. The rhythm scans perfectly, and the words seem effortlessly graceful--not forced. The pictures complete the poem. The imagery is graceful, too..."a winter weaver...liquid lace...invisible embroidery." It's a joy to read.

Thank you Jim, my friend Ann took this picture of the frost fractals on her window. It did indeed look like lace, and from that word came the poem.

Great verse, weaved winter so well. Now if you can weave winter away and bring spring you'll make my day..ha!

You have used various poetic tools to create such an exquisite word painting...especially, smooth meter, rhyme and alliteration. I love it...and the photo.
