Love is in the Air

Cupid transcribes, tidings of love
With colours - red and pink
Yet wrote on skies of powder blue
In cotton cumulus ink

And with his arrow shaped a cloud
This statement to declare
A quiet moment, echoed loud
Look, love is in the air

For Susan, with love...

Happy Valentines Day

Elaine for some reason there is no RSS feed for your blog, so I have to remember to visit regularly (for others in my blogroll the new post titles update within my blogroll). Sometimes I miss a couple of weeks/posts and then it feels like a special surprise/treat to get to catch up on your poems and other posts. This was a great poem, my favorite line "In cotton cumulus ink":-)

I might warm to this day by the time you poets are done with me. A wonderful word weave, and like Tina above, "In Cotton cumulus ink" was a stand out for me too.

Hopefully that arrow doesn't hurt too much and it finds you all well and good. The rhymes were grand and when it hits, but sure not to get a splinter from the wood..haha

I like the pattern of the rhythm, it's very satisfying how it supports the final line's punch.
