Can you tell me what you're saying
In the space between the words?
During hushed and speechless silence
There are things I haven't heard
In a glance and in a gesture
With a touch or with a kiss
There's a language that's unspoken
That I fear that I might miss
So let's go back to that moment
And we'll linger there, and then
When you say what you're not saying
I will hear it once again

Very perceptive. Often it is what is not said speaks the loudest - if we look for it.
oo very nice...what goes unsaid is often more important than what is...good to see you!
there is much we don't say in words, "reading" between the lines isn't always easy.
but strangely enough it wasn't me i thought about, as i read this i imagined what i would be like not to see the facial expressions.. the gestures.. all those subtle signs we take for granted...
Sometimes more is said without words..lovely!
Hello Elaine. Sometimes, words are not easily expressed and it's easier to show it with our gestures.
Nice one!
Absolutely spot one. Great observation and poem to match. :)
Yep what is unsaid usually beats what is said
As one can tell sometimes what's in anothers head
Through a gesture or a smirk
Great write glad I came to lurk
Beautiful poem. It is good to be patient enough to hear the unspoken words.
Just Beautiful!
Well said.. xx
I stopped by to congratulate you for your Honorable Mention in last week's Limerick-Off: Limerick of the Week 12.
